I am impressed with the efforts of online historians who seem to explore every aspect of the history food, science, medicine, and society.  There are vibrant communities on Twitter and Facebook that promote and aggregate these posts.  Two excellent blogs that  promote the history of science are the now defunct The Giant’s Shoulders  and its replacement Whewell’s Ghost.   On the pages of these two blogs you will find a weekly digest of the best online posts about science, technology, and medicine.  In a similar vein I will put together a monthly post aggregating links to blog posts, articles, images, and videos about the history of wine.  This is a rich subject touching social history, medicine, science, gardening, and art.  I personally think there is much yet to explore.  So please help me promote new research and an online community!

In this first post I have put together links for the months of June and July.  If I have missed anything let me know and I will update this post.  Please enjoy the links and share them online with your friends.  Until the end of August you may find more history of wine at:
