Drinks at the 75th International Gold Cup

This past Saturday we hosted our 8th annual tailgate party at the International Gold Cup.  As it was the 75th running of this historic steeplechase we pulled out all stops with our Timber + Brush theme.  Through months of planning and everyone’s hard work we won the Tailgate Contest for the 5th year in a row!  For previous posts about our tailgate parties please look here.  For race-day and historic images please look at our Timber + Brush blog.  You may also look at our 2011 International Gold Cup blog.

This year we concentrated on Spanish wine with along with a selection of Petit Verdot from Virginia.  We also featured two cocktails created specifically for our event by Jason Parsons.  The Virginia Timber Jumper uses Catoctin Creek, Watershed Gin and the Tennessee Brush Jumper used Dickel, No 12 Whisky.  The Timber + Brush blog will eventually be updated with the menus and recipes.  In the mean time here are a few drinks related images and a selected drink list from our tailgate party.
